The origins: 1891

Basketball was born in 1891 thanks to the ingenuity of James Naismith. Far more than a simple game, this sport combines agility, precision and a keen sense of collaboration between players.

Beyond individual performances, basketball values teamwork, reading the game and quick decision-making.

A universal sport

From street courts to international arenas, basketball inspires millions of fans. The NBA represents the highest level worldwide, carried by legends such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Stephen Curry. In Switzerland, the women’s LNA is our flagship championship — the one our first team plays in.
